Castro imports subscriptions from other podcast apps using OPML (a generally recognized format for sets of subscriptions).
To export your subscriptions from iTunes on your Mac:
To transfer the OPML to your iPhone you can email it to yourself, or if you use Dropbox add it there. On your phone you can then choose to open the OPML file in Castro to import the subscriptions.
To export subscriptions tap the following link on your device: castro://export. This will open Castro, generate an OPML file of your subscriptions, and bring up a menu to open that file in other apps that support the format.
We will add a way to do this without using the URL scheme in a future update.

Castro has a single playlist. The episodes timeline contains unlistened episodes of all your podcasts. You can change the sort order in settings. You can play episodes one by one or enable continuous play to automatically play through to the next one. You also have full control over whether the next episode can be streamed or if Castro should choose the next downloaded one instead.
Yes! As of version 1.1, you can start a sleep timer from settings. If you're still awake when the sleep timer expires just tap play on the lock screen or on your headphone remote to extend the timer without having to open the app.
On the main screen you can tap the button in the top left corner to open settings. Scroll down to see the various configuration options. You can also pinch the screen or tap and hold the play button to get to settings from anywhere in the app.
You can also configure individual podcast settings by tapping into the podcast and tapping the settings button.
We are currently fully focused on iPhone. We may support additional platforms in the future but we have no expected delivery date for that as of yet.
Not directly. Castro can only download media from podcast feeds. One option is to create a free Huffduffer account which makes it easy to add media to a personal podcast feed for Castro to download.
